I have these:

Main: Rti-10 Freq 20-27000 Hz
Center: CSi-5 Freq 45-27000 Hz
Surr: Monitor 60 Freq 38-25000 Hz
Sub: SVS PB12-NSD Freq 20-150Hz
Receiver Yamaha RX-V3900, possible settings 40-150Hz, i think. Can't remember exactly.

All speakers set to Small

My question is, should I set the x-over at 60Hz or 80Hz? Would it make a big difference.

Thanks,
Kong

Probably not a huge difference between the two, but most, including myself, would suggest 80hz. If your Yammy has a setup program, run it and tweak from there. Try both and see which one you prefer, bottom line is it might take a little work to get right but in the end if it sounds good to you that is all that matters. Good luck and welcome to Club Polk.

40 for music and 80 for movies.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Ok so 80 is generally a good idea.

However, Ben...How can i set it 40 "and" 80 on my receiver, or do i have to do it manually each time?

You would probably have to switch between the two, I don't know if you can set them to two different settings at once. If you don't do much music listening then set them to 80 and call it a day. If you do more music listening than HT set it to 40 and call it a day.
