OK, so I got this new system an I want to hook it up but I ain't sure how to do it. It was an open box with no instructions. It has a DVD unit an some small speakers, a big speaker an another thing that is bigger with a hole in it. I figured out that the speakers hook up to the back of the DVD unit but I don't understand what C, FL, FR, RL, RR and SW stand for.

C- center channel
FL- Front Left
FR- Front right
RL- Rear left
RR- Rear right
SW- Subwoofer
Sounds like a HTIB (home theater in a box). Not sure if you have speaker wire but the main unit should have speaker outputs in the back labled as I described above. Just match up your speakers to the appropriate connections. The sub is the largest speaker with the port. The center may look a little different than the other 4.Polk Audio Surround Bar 360

One more thing, you hook up the speakers to your receiver, not the dvd player.unless the receiver and dvd player are one unit of coarse. How about posting a model number, what brand it is, what gear you have, and we can better serve you.HT SYSTEM-
