I second that. It may be a little less clean than two identical subs but it will not hurt your equipment and should sound better than just one sub of course. How do you like the dps-12 by the way? I have 2 dps-10s and they are decent, seems like the 12 should hit pretty hard

I wouldn't do it.. they'll respond differently, i think you'll just end up with muddy, incoherent sound.

+1, best case scenario when using two subs is to use identical ones. Setting up two subs to play nice together is hard enough with two of the same ones, nevermind using two different ones. It's not impossible, just adds to the degree of difficulty. Welcome to Club Polk.

I've often thought of running two Boston subs that I have together....but even they are different...one has a coated reinforced fiber cone with a 200 watt BASH amp, the other a polycarbonate--filled cone with a 300 watt class D amp? Both are 12" subs but have very different characteristics.

I haven't tried this yet...but I expect some difficulties with the set up!
