Looking for one or the other of these subs. Both use A/B class amps, which i need over class D.
Need to keep cost down, after buying spree(wife not happy) , so used would be perfect.

How big is your room....what will you use the sub for more (HT or music?)...and what's wrong with class D for sub amplification--a lot of manufacturers use them?

Hi cnh,
Heres a copy of what i posted not long ago about sub issue.
Affecting radio reception. I had a Velodyne, didnt matter where i put it, it put out interference. I called Velodyne, found out sub was a class D. Back to the store it went.
Tried an Energy sub, same issue. Contacted C.S., they said sub was a class D. Back went that sub.
Tried a friends Polk psw 110, no interference! Also, the Polk uses a class A/B amp.
I thought Polk C.S. monitored this link. I guess ill have to give them a call.

Room size is a master bedroom. Would like to use sub for both music and HT, leaning more to music.
I have now found out the psw110, psw111, and the psw125 use A/B amps.
There is a thread online about this issue, and damned if it hasnt bitten me in the ****!
But after testing the subs listed above,(very bad interference) and a sub with a A/B amp, (the interference was gone.) Hence, my liking for these 3 amps..lol

I got you. But I have no idea why an one amp would and another wouldn't. You'd think it would be about shielding...did someone explain this effect?

Heres part of discussion i found.
If I may respectfully disagree with my brother from Texas.
That link describes a problem caused by the cable TV. The shield has some a.c. on it. As a result it pulls up the chassis "ground" of whatever it is connected to. Then anything which has a signal referenced to ground "sees" the small a.c. signal.
Isolation transformers solve thisissue because it elimiates the direct connection between the transformer's input and output . . . and it does not pass a freq that low. A good system wide ground will wor too. I dislike the notion of lifting grounds with cheater plugs. In any event, the 60 Hz a.c. is not radiating.
As described in the problem before us, something in the sub amp is putting out radio frequency noise. Perhaps a switched power supply or class D amplifier. Naturally a proper design job pervents this from getting out of the subwoofer.
It is quite possible that the a.c. line cord is radiating the r.f. noise, as an antenna. Whatever wire is running the audio signal into the sub could be doing the same.
One possible solution is called a ferrite bead. It is not really a bead as we think of a piece of jewelry. Here the soft iron core absorbs the r.f. running on the cord. Place it close to the sub.

You'll note there are different sizes and they are inexpensive. You might consider buying several and experimenting. And while your at Parts Express there is always the temptation to buy some additional audio gear . . . but be strong! (I have stumbled.)
You may have seen similar things on computer equipment.
No guarantees this will work but it is a good bet. It will not prevent a signal radiating directly from the inside works.

I have a Polk Audio PSW404 and a PSW303 (both of which are higher rated than the subs you desire) for sale. Both have class A/B amps. I will part with them for $150 and $100 respectively plus shipping. Both are in 9.5/10 condition and where in service for less than a year when I upgraded. Any interest?

Bump..
I'm still looking for a PSW110 or a PSW111, preferably new or close to it.
Missed out on last opportunity.
