Satellites... Polk, others?

I'm looking to replace 5 Acoustic Research satellite speakers in my TV room (I have a separate HT), so this is for primarily TV, sports, and an occasional movie. Due to recently up-sizing my TV, I now have less room for speakers, so I'm looking for something relatively narrow, such as the Polk RM7 or RM8 speakers. My sub in this system is a Klipsch Sub 10. It's more than adequate for what I use it for.

Does anyone have any impressions of the Polk sats?

Are there any other competitors selling similar size sats, particularly ID? I'm looking for affordable, decent sound. The RM75 or RM85 5.0 sets are rather appealing... just wanted to guage what else might be out there that you guys might consider. Thanks!

    Ok, I know you fellows prefer your bookshelves and towers... so do I! But, smaller speakers are what's best for this situation. Just a general observation that no one here seems to talk about these types of speakers too much. Could it be that they're too close to the dreaded HTIB? :eek: Actually, I guess they are. Anyone?

    I have a complete setup of 4 RM 8, 2 RM 7 and 1 RM 8 center for a total of 7 speakers. I think the sound from them is really quite amazing considering their size. I purchased them back in October, but just recently finished upgrading them to the RTi series. I don't intend this to be spam or anything, but if you are interested in them PM me and I can tell you a little more about them. I also have 2 pairs of speaker stands which are specifically intended for these speakers. Kevin
