If you do, how did you hook it up to take advantage of the wolfsen dac?

Is Pioneer leaving the bluray market? I've read rumors on other forums that they might be and they didn't bring anything at the 2010 CES show regarding bluray/disc players.

With that being said, Do I run the HDMI direct to the TV. Then the 7.1 analog outs direct to the receiver?. Or do I leave the HDMI at the receiver and just hook the analog outs to the receiver as well?. Sorry for the dumb questions.

What kind of receiver do you have. If your receiver has hdmi inputs run the hdmi out from the Pioneer BDP to the hdmi input on your receiver. Then run a hdmi out from your receiver to the hdmi input on your TV.

What I did with my setup was like I mentioned up top but for 2 channel listening I also ran RCA cables from my 2 channel analog output on the Pioneer BDP to the CD analog input on my receiver.

If you own the Pio AVR SC05/SC07...please use HDMI from the BDP51fd to the Pio AVR SC05/07 since you will reap the benefit of the PQLS and the SC05/SC07 with their own Woflson Dacs will do the same D &A conversion audio job as the BDP51fd stand alone.

If you do not own the Pio SC05/SC07, for better audio performance please use the analog out from the BDP51fs. It is also a very good CDP for a dedicated 2 chanell set up.

I will also run my Pio 7.1 analog out to my Receiver (CD analog input)

I have the BDP-51FD and SC-05 and that's exactly how I have mine set up. I love being able to use the PQLS feature. The sound for both HT and 2-channel is phenomenal

There is rumour that Pio may let go of their Bluray and AVR line. What's a shame since they are really good stuff for H/T.

The BDP51FD is hard to beat as a CDP stand alone unless you move up the food chain to the Cary line.
