Improving Cell Phone signal strength?

My wife changed jobs so she's in another office building, but works for the same employer not wishing to state who that is. The problem is her cell phone doesn't work at her desk, but works by a window. Not to spend $$ is there something she or I could do to improve signal?

So if she got 0% at her desk, but 65% by a window what does she need to do?

Joe, there is not much she can do. SOme phones work better than others for signal strenght. I find some Nokias do a good job but BB sucks.
SOunds like her carriers in building signal is weak at her office. Might try a different phone or switch carriers that provide a better signal in her area.
I have found Verizon to be about the best but depending the city T-Mobile and AT&T are good to.
Theres no majic answer an much as people are willing to sell you something, they do not work.
The mobiles with antenna's that pulled out worked a bit better for signal strenght.
I bet she can send and receive text messages though.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

Well she had an AT&T phone, now she got a T-Mobile but both have an issue with it. This build is a metal builder, she couldn't due a metal thing in the cell phone? I think it's the building more then anything.

It may be but if she is downtown located in major city she should have coverage.
Any co-works that do not have a problem.
I have found Verizon has provided me best in building coverage where I work, even elevators under ground if I stand next to the door. Thats with a BB storm
T-mobile inbuilding where I work is iffy, never had AT&T
Both AT&T and T-Mo are GSM or UMTS. UMTS should be able to pentrate just about anything. Verizon uses CDMA.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

What does this do?
Is it just a Wi-Fi router like any other or something else? Could a router be used to repeat signal?

some of TMO phones use WIFI which does not eat up your air time minutes on your cell. I am not totally sure if there is something specific for TMO or you can use any WIFI.
ANd I could be totally out to lunch on this. I have been out of wireless tech support for 3 years. For Nortel I was the GSM NA Tech Support Leader for 7 years. I have been in Enterprise for the last 3 years so I may out of date on wireless.
I really suggest finding out what your wifes co-workers use and see is having the best in building coverage.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

The building is made with metal it's metal sheet outside of this building. I found out a manager has a BB with sprint and there's a repeater for sprint for his BB. My wife's cell phone just states SOS only, I think it's saying I see Sprint if you like to talk to 911.
