I have a set of monitor 30s as my rears and a denon 1610 as my receiver. I am trying to decide if bi wiring the monitor 30s would make much of a difference in sound. Any thoughts?

Do a search. This question has been asked many times. Most people will say get one good set of wires and replace the jumpers with a short piece of the same wire. Bi-wiring only moves the jumper to the back of the receiver instead of being at the back of the speaker. I would look into Signal Cable if I were you.

I tried to bi wire my Monitor 60 speakers. I really did not like the sound. I had extra speaker wire, so it did not cost me anything. I would not buy extra speaker wire to do it but if you have extra wire and it is no cost then I think it is worth a try. You might like the sound. Make sure that you cut the wires the same length.

I noticed the sound had a more muddy sound and was not worth the trouble. I achieved more bass out of the speaker but also lost some of the mids.

I dont think it will add any benefit if you bi-wire because these are rear speakers and they dont deliver much, If they where the mine fronts you would hear a difference... You should give it a try and determine for your self.... Enjoy!!!!

Minor, if any change at all. Save your $$$ for other things.
