Am I going to be downgrading?

Hey all, right now I have a pair of SDA 2s (they are the originals with 3 woofers and 2 tweeters) and I am considering selling them to my brother. I would replace them with a pair of RTA 15TLs. Will I be downgrading? I'm powering with a carver CM-1090.

Thanks
Dan

I just heard that the RTA line was not as good as the SDA line, so thought I would ask.

Your SDAs have the two tweets side to side, right? If so, then i believe you'd be upgrading.

I'm not sure i'd say "Of COURSE it's an upgrade," but i think it's one.

What exactly will I be gaining? What makes the SDA2 so bad compared to the other SDAs, is it the horizontal array of the tweeters?

Two different animal. The SDA2's with the dimensional tweeter disconnected are a fine speaker if you have the room for them. I have owned both driven by the same gear. It all depends on your room. If you don't have a 16 foot long wall for the speakers the 15TL's would be a good choice.
