For all of you SDA guys out there; I recommend checking out the new Lady Antebellum CD "Need you Now". It's a little "hot" in the bass department (like many modern CD's). However, most of the songs really bring out the SDA effect. Plus, they are a pretty damn good group.

I meant to get this CD Tuesday when it came out but work got the best of me. Having never heard them before, the release on the FM got me very interested. Good tunes. That said, the video bites.
I hate that it's hot in the bass department but thanks for the heads up. I was hoping that it was a well recorded CD.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Honestly, despite the "hot" bass, the sound quality is good overall. In my opinion, it is better than the 1st CD. They just have a slightly different sound than the mainstream stuff right now that I really like.ChrisPreamp: Anthem Pre 2L (Jan-Phillips Green) Processor: Marantz SR7012 Amp: B&K 200.5Streaming: Bluesound Node 2IDAC: Eastern Electric Minimax Plus4K Bluray: Panasonic UB820Mains: Von Schweikert VR2Center: Von Schweikert LCR15 Subs: 2 SVS Sb13 Ultra (HT Only) Analysis Plus Cables

My wife absolutely LOVES the song "Need You Now" so much that I am actually learning to play it on guitar.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.

Picked it up today, as I said not much into country but it's good and I think I could stare at her for a long time before I got bored:D

Just picked up the first album and the new one today. When my son wakes up from his nap, my rig will be performing Lady Antebellum for me. I'll let you know how it sounds after the performance.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? WHOA! Man, you weren't lyin' about it being bass heavy.
It's a damn shame too. I just listened to the track "Need You Now" and all I can say is what a waste of a great song. Some of the instruments were not at the same volume as the rest of the recording, making them hardly noticeable. The vocals were hot as well as the bass but the bass was exceptionally hot.
Listening at less than concert levels enveloped the entire room almost constantly. It was almost a relief when the bass guitar stopped playing during the song. There was definitely things on the CD that I did not hear before on the FM like voices talking at the beginning of the song. They were apparently talking on the phone or leaving a message behind the music. At the end of the song was more music that the FM stations leave off.
Overall, just listening to that one song I would say that it is yet another recording disaster. Whoever mixed that recording just flat out ruined that song. The music was fantastic and I'm looking forward to hearing more of this lady I had not even heard of before I heard this song on the radio.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music.
