I went out to get a cheeseburger and when I got home, my wife and daughter said that my cell phone had been ringing incessantly while I was out, so they answered it. I don't carry it with me cause I find it to be a nuisance, I don't give the number to anybody so nobody I know calls me on it, and if they did I'm too deaf to hear it ringing anyway. Sometimes I hear it a little but always think it's somebody elses and it stops ringing after awhile. So Stephie picked it up and it was Edward looking for George. Stephie asked if I was expecting his call. When he said no she hung up on him figuring telemarketer. I got to thinking about it awhile and was just about to call the number back because I had a good feeling about what I was thinking, when the house phone rang. Ed Savignon. In Maryland, on his way home to The Bronx, and stopping by to pick up the Luxman receiver.

He's probably on the way home from Alabama or something where he just picked up his 12th pair of SRS or something. He's a scream.

Ed has been here, picked up the Lux, and is now headed into Maryland to pick up some tube buffers. Out of his mind. It's always good to see him though.

So, what's the point of having one George...and if you don't give it to anyone, how did Edward have it? Also, why do we need to know that Edward picked up a Luxman?

It just sounds cool when you say you have one. I have no idea how Ed got the number. I don't know the number.

Ed's a good dude as you well know George and yes he is a nutty road warrior. He's been to my house and I found him to be as genuine a human being as you man.

I just got back from my mini trip to maryland.

I was looking around in audiogon for another Musical fidelity tube buffer for my 2 channel stereo system when i saw a listing for 2 tube buffers in maryland for $150.
As soon as I got confirmation from the seller that they were still available, I jumped in to my car and drove off. I figured, Let me call George and see if i can kill two birds with one stone.
After calling my friends at DHS for george's cellphone number, And after many attempts,
I finally got thru to him. I was able to pick up the Luxman and see my friend george!
That in itself made my trip worthwhile. We chatted a bit but unfortunately, I had to keep my visit short. I did threaten him with another visit soon.
I made it to Maryland in about an hour and a half after meeting george.
All in all, a very productive, enjoyable trip.

Ed, you are my hero! I've meet Ed on the road in PA, NY, MD, DE Polf Fest and of course I have been to his house. Ed's hospitality and audio system is wonderful. I enjoy Ed's company immensely, he's a first class human being all the way around. Ed, I haven't been to NY in more than 1 1/2 years. I miss you buddy! I owe you another dinner in NYC, hopefully this Summer.

I'm starting to Jones Polkfest 2010 at Lou's so I can see all you nuts again!
