Hello,
I am looking to upgrade to some fx/1000 surround speakers.
Upgrading from ls/fx, which are fine....but I have the urge to go bigger.
Anyone have a nice set available ?

    Keep your eyes open on craigslist. Every once in awhile a pair comes along. www.craiglook.com is a great help searching more than one craigslist city.

    I have for sale the biggest surrounds, and back surrounds polk made! they are wood colored, accept power from 20-500 watts
    they are bipole/dipole selectable offering infinite amounts of instant adjustment. each of four speakers include 2-6.5 inch mid and
    2-1 inch dynamic balance tweeter. sound is fantastic!! to say the least. these are part of the polk rt 5000 home system the second
    largest you could buy behind the srt system which is still claimed to be one of the very best in world! i do not have grills but have found
    that polk rt 800 grills fit perfect so you could easily find cheap if you needed.

    speakers can/will be heard by potential buyer before purchase. very very little visual damage, you have to look pretty hard/close

    again ONLY CONTACT IF INTERESTED IN PURCHASING for some reason craigslist brings the stupid out of people, this
    is only meant for those individuals!!

    trades may be accepted, but must be high end or collectible and have pics and prices or dont waste my time please!

    price is firm, i/you could seperate just the tweets for 35.00 and up each there are 8 and the mids about the same. then x overs and such

    I don't know... I think it is 4 speakers for $500. Sure they need work, but IF you were close and wanted to try 1000 f/x speakers that is only $125 / speaker.

    Thanks Guys....I went to look at this, and the posting was 'Deleted by the Author".
    Something seemed fishy to me with the description.
    But I am only about 2 hours away, and would have probably went to look.

    Found my speakers. Thank you to RSTERN. I am now the new owner of a nice pair of f/s 1000's. I will be installing them mid week. This can now be closed.

    About 9/10.
    A couple small dings on top, and a bit of rash on the metal hangers in back.
    Once hung you can not see any of the issues.
    I am happy. They are excellent speakers for my system.
