How much longer do you think Avatar is going to be in theaters? More specifically, how long do you think it'll stay in I-Max theaters?

Still haven't seen the movie because classes just started back up, but at the same time, I don't wanna miss a possibly awesome I-Max experience.

It will be there so long as it continues to make money. It took Titanic 42 weeks to accomplish what Avatar has done in 40 days. If that is any clue, I think it safe to say it will be around a bit longer

It all depends on the location too. I'm a projectionist in a medium sized theater, my theater never keeps movies very long, Avatar will be gone from it very soon. But at the imax a few miles away it will be holding on strong for awhile.

Titanic was out for 4 months to make what avatar made in 6 weeks.

They said that it will probably be out until early spring. But I think as long as they pretty much fill theater seats and have people cheer at the end of the movie I think it will stay out. My theater only has 2 main big theater rooms and avatar has not moved to a smaller one. All 4 times I have went and seen it, the theater has been full.

On that note FYE is taking pre orders for avatar now.
