Check out user joeparaski. Oh, I didn't put "The Clamp" there, once I make the decision to sell, I'd rather sell it to a Polkie. I don't think anyone on this forum is interested in the stuff I'm selling on ebay anyway, but if you're curious, check it out.

Sorry to thread derail, but what do you use your reel to reel for? I've always wanted one, but I'm not sure what I would use it for. Dumb, huh?

Joe, Harry (polrbear) has expressed interest to me about The Clamp and I steared him your way.

Well, here's the thing with the Reel-to-Reel...I don't use it, I've never used it, and I never will use it. The thing came up on a local listing and I bought it on a whim because 30 years ago a buddy of mine had one and I always wanted one...back then anyway. Now that I have it.....

Yeah, sounds kind of like me. I want one, but I really don't know why or what I would use it for. Go figure.

Depending on what kind of Reel-to-Reel that is....if it is STUDIO quality you could use it to play MASTER tapes from which ALL VINYL IS DERIVED! So, theoretically the SOURCE should be 'better' than VINYL!!

But Master tapes are hard to come by and are expensive.

Well, yeah, there is that. Where would one even try to come by master tapes?

Yes I know...usually I am VERY neat with my cabling. But I know that I'll be taking the whole thing apart are re-organizing it for the umpteenth time.

As far as I know they can't be bridged. Hard to characterize the sound of any of my amps because they are not assigned the full dynamic range of music. They do sound good to me, and I couldn't begin to describe sound the way some of you folks do.

The whole purpose of this sale is to come up with the funds to buy a projector and screen.

Oh hell, i didn't even notice that you were in Canada... i imagine shipping costs would be insane, yes?

I'm trying to decide if i want to go for the kill on some B&K monoblocks, or save a little more and pony up to try one of these and shipping.

Shipping would probably be in the 75-100 dollar range. How much do B&K monoblocks go for?
