Goodfellas on Blu-ray?

Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies. I have the old DVD that isn't a very good presentation. It is one of the old double sided dvds that you have to flip over for the second half. It isn't anamorphic and the transfer is pretty bad, the sound isn't very good either.
I was wondering if anyone has watched it on blu-ray and if you did how did it look and sound. Especially compared to the old dvd format. If it is a good improvement i'll probably pick it up.
