Hello all, I just herd of the SDA speakers yesterday when a friend asked me if I wanted to buy a pair of his fathers speakers. It says SDA2 left on the back, what should I look for to make sure they are in good working order and will they do well with my Yamaha RX-2400. This is list of all my gear so if I get them how should I hook them up and what should I keep and sell or give away. Yamaha RX-V2400, Pioneer VSX-D1S, Sony TA-AX390 Amp. 2 Jensen JP1 1500, 2 JP 1300, 2 Jensen J3, Jensen JPS 12 sub, Mitsubishi M-C200 center. My room is 15 by 15 and mostly listen to streeming video, cd and play video games. Thanks. Mark

Welcome to Club Polk. SDA's really need an amp. How many tweeters are in the pair you are buying?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

welcome to the club! Ben is right, they do need an amp but if they are in good condition I would suggest buying them and building from there. Great speakers!

The SDA's should sound ok with what you have currently, but will not really come to life until they are properly driven by a good amp. I would not push them to hard until then.
The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

    Mark,

John is most certainly giving you the right advice and I for one couldn't agree more.
That being said, did I mention yet how happy I am for you that you're getting SDA's ???
