Denon PMA-920 Integrated Amp

Here is a nice older Denon PMA-920 Integrated Stereo Amplifier rated at 115 watts per channel RMS @ 8 ohms. Not sure of the specs as I do not have the manual, but I was shocked at how nice this baby sounds.
There is no static at all with the volume or balance knobs like my other Denon PMA-500V. Used as a pre-amp as well and it is dead quite. Perfect for a starter 2-channel rig or a secondary rig.
If anybody has information on this unit by all means please chime in and feel free to post.
Only selling because I just got a new Denon preamp.
I tried to take as many pictures as possible to show the condition. It does have a few scratches, mainly on the top rear and also the "Monitor/Copy" knob is a little loose.
$135 + Shipping via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground, the choice is yours. Professional packaging as well.
PayPal is the best option and I will eat the fees but PM me if you want to pay by other means and we can discuss.

Here is another picture I found with the PMA920 in my rack: -
Why not tighten the nut on that knob?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I may try that. It was no big deal to me since I never used that one and it is not too bad. Just wanted to mention it.

Does this have a remote with it?I plan for the future. - F1Nut
-
Nope, this unit was not made with a remote.

Did you ever use this with your SDAs? Not just the pre amp but integrated? How'd it do?
I'm thinking about giving it a whirl. Hows it compare to the Cambridge?

Yes but there is no way to give a comparison as everything has totally changed in that rig. I wish I could.
Don't quote me on this and take it with a grain of salt, but I would say the Denon is extremely more powerful, and maybe the Cambridge does the little details better. I did love the way the Cambridge was designed. Very high quality at a budget price. -
I'll let you know something is 24 hours or less.

Tell you what folks, if Nik passes and anybody local wants to pick this bad boy up I'll throw in a set of Klipsch KG2's and stands for free!!!
These are classic Klipsch not the newer cheap Klipsch speakers you may be thinking of.
They are by no means perfect, but they sound great!
Add a CD player and you got a great 2-channel system on the cheap. -
I'm gonna pass on this at the moment. I think I'm going to go with NAD separates..
Good Luck on your sale.

What is the definition of "local" here? -

Can it go down to 4 ohms? The photos seems to suggest 6 ohms is the lowest. Not sure whether it could drive my Magnepans or not at 4 ohms. -
Local is NC, but I will ship the amp no problem at all. Give it a try.
-
NOTE: Klipsch KG2's are no longer included.
The amp is on its way to the ol' ebay...
Make me an offer if interested. -

My answer is yes. I read on another site that the manual states it can despite what the back of the unit says. To verify, I have been pushing this amp with the 4 ohm Klipsch KG2's all day long and it sounds awsome and the amp is not even hot at all.starkiller wrote: »Hmm, how much for shipping to 98327? my dynaco 410 went pffftt!
PM sent with quote. To answer your other question Star, IMHO I do not find this amp bright at all. Sweet sound.Hi, Where in NC are you (Raleigh here). Thanks, Charles
