Okay, so I picked up a Pioneer 320 Blu-ray Player over Christmas and I've been using the analog outs in order to listen to the new loss-less audio formats.

Currently, I'm using some basic rca cables going from the player to my B&K Ref 50 Processor. It does sound fantastic like this but my question is, will proper interconnects (like Ben's Silver ICs) make an improvement in audio quality for blu-ray playback?

I know when I went from basic rca cables to Ben's silver ICs between my processor and amp there was a HUGE improvement in audio quality.

Does it make sense to spend close to $200 in cables for a blu-ray player that was only $300 to begin with? Thoughts?

Andrew

well it makes sense if there IS a quality difference between the cables and if you can hear it. if it improved one it should improve the other.

with regards to the cost of the cables, if they make a difference then i would go for it..

the consensus is that the oppo bd 83 is amongst the best out there.. but i dont think there is much difference between the audio outs of any of them..

i had my pioneer bdp 51 hooked up via 7.1 audio cables and it sounded great.. but i switched to the bitstream and an hdmi connection and to me it sounded better ( could have been my imagination though ) ymmv.
