definitive technology prosub 1000

my rear speakers are polks but my fronts and subs are def tech.
but i love these forums so i am going to post my story..
i found a prosub 1000 on ebay for 125 shipped, it was advertised as PARTS ONLY.. it is 425 and up normally. 10 inch sub 300 watts rms.
when i got the sub i could shake it and hear things rattling which is bad and most of the screws were missing. i took the driver, amp, and bass radiator out of it.. the box was not cracked anywhere on the inside, there was a small crack on the outside but it did not penetrate to the inside. i looked at the amp part of it and nothing looked burned our out of place nor did it smell like it had been burnt, it looked brand new.
all the wires were disconnected for some reason, so i decided to reconnect the wires for the hell of it and see what it would do without replacing anything just yet. wait here comes the GOOD PART.
as i was trying to reconnect the speaker wires from the amp to the driver i noticed that i could not get them to connect. the SMALL connector on the red wire would not connect to the BIG connector on the positive side of the driver. so i was like WTF. i looked at the connection on the amp and the red, black seem to be correct since the connections are sized to avoid miswiring them. by the way i already had a prosub 1000 so i took it apart and compared the connections to both the amp and the driver. the LABELED connections were the same, however the connectors on the driver were backwards. meaning someone had soldered a big positive connector onto the the negative side of the driver and vice versa.
I was like no way this could be what the problem was.. so i cut off the connectors and respliced them backwards so they would be oriented correctly and it WORKS PERFECTLY. i have tested it for several days and ran multiple frequency sweeps on it and the one i had before, they both sound identical as i can tell.
so now this brings me to my question.. i have a prosub 800 (similar specs but a smaller 8 inch subwoofer ) and two prosub 1000's should i hook the prosub 800 up to the rear channels and run them full range since there isnt that much bass back there anyway.. or just sell the 800 and keep the two prosub 1000's both connected to the lfe, and crossing over the complete system at 100 hz..

she said wtf.. that thing is huge compared to the other.. so i know the next one i get if i ever upgrade will have to be disguised as a refrigerator or something or she wouldnt allow it... -
It could be used as a nice end table in between playing music or movies. Then, items removed for the show! Mine holds baby toys until it's needed2 Channel/HT:
