That's going to be some insurance claim.

Wow. That really really makes me sad. =( All the good cars, the hard work, the love, the pain, the tears, the elbow grease, the money, the engines, the rare combinations.

My heart just died a little. =(

More than a few of them were damaged in some pretty tough spots for a quick, down the road repair.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Two large tents were blown loose by the severe storm that passed through. One of the tents was 800 feet long. The 101 Bypass was closed when one of the tents was blown onto the highway. Lots of metal tent poles and supports banging around on those cars.

I was thinking something like $3million. I don't know if that's set in stone yet or not, but $1.5m is the figure that's being talked about over on GRM forums.

Update, this taken from another forum i'm on:
was there with my 65 unrestored Galaxie 500 Convertible with 25000 original miles--Sustained 23,000 in damages let alone the deminished value of my unrestored car--Russo and Steele are doing nothing for all the people who had damages. The picture on the internet do noting unless you were there, the damages and pride are worse than anyone can imagine. If your car was damaged, I have the Claim information. Email me

Whoa that is pretty low that he can't get compensation from them. It would seem to me that their insurance would be similar to home owners insurance. Not that I know what I'm talking about though!:o

What'll probably happen if pressed is that they'll investigate if the tents were set up properly, and then probably consider it an "act of god" or whatever insurance calls it, and a lot of people will be screwed, and i doubt the show will ever be as big as it was.

Exactly, and I'm sure the car owner signed a waiver in the contract covering just such an occurance. As long as there was no negligence on Russo & Steele's part they aren't liable.
