Just received and hooked up PSWi225, receiver is Onkyo TX-SR505. No sound from sub. Verified all settings, wireless ID switch ,etc.Tried all troubleshooting procedures in both manuals, swapped out RCA cable. Reconfigured speaker set up on receiver from scratch. LED always goes back to red indicating no signal.

Hi. Well, I'm gonna guess it is a set-up problem with your receiver. I just got a Sony and am still reading the manual in preparation for the set-up, and there are references here and there to just the sort of problem you describe. For instance they say 'if a sound field is selected, no sound will be output from the sub if speakers are set to 'Large' '. I have no experience with Onkyo, and am just exploring the modern receiver concept, but I suggest you read and re-read your manual for clues like this. I suspect there will be some sort of tweak on the settings you need to perform. Also, see if there is a procedure for initializing the receiver; on my new Sony there is, and maybe if you are using new hardware you have to do something like that. I wish you luck,

Make sure you have your sub set to "on" or "yes" or "present" whatever the case may be. Not sure what the Onkyo factory setting is, but wouldn't hurt to look and make sure it is actually turned on on the AVR's menu. Hope you get it fixed, and welcome to Club Polk.
