fxi a4 with no back wall
Hello out there in Polk land. I am about to purchase a pair of fxi a4 speakers for my back surrounds to complete my Polk setup. My current set up is RTI6 for my fronts, CSI3 for my center, PSW404 for my sub and Mirage Prestige Nanosat for my surround. I apsolutely love my configuration, but the Nanosat speakers are being overpowered by the RTI6. I have been doing tons of research whether or not bipole/dipole speakers will for my room setup. Our family room opens ups to the kitchen with no back wall for fxi a4 speakers to feflect the sound waves. Would the the fxi a4 surround speakers still work in this setup?

You may not get as full effect from this as someone who has them installed on a wall. The reason would be that you would loose some of the rear reflections.
I might suggest saving some money and looking at getting either matching RTi6's or RTi4's for the rear surrounds on stands. -
