Question about cherry vinyl on Monitor speakers
How does this look? Is it a fairly decent wood look or is it cheesy and obviously fake?

are you speaking about the "cherry wood finish" on the polk monitor series speakers?

I have the black Monitor 70's myself, but have seen the cherry versions and they look pretty good to me.

It's not that I'm insensitive, I just don't care.. -
I ordered the cherry R50's from frys.com a couple of years back during one of their many fire sales. I was kinda weary about how they'd look, but for the price I didn't care. But, in person they actually look very good. Much better than I expected and am quite happy with them.

I had the Monitor 50's and 30's ( just sold em) and the cherry wood veneer is cabinet grade in appearance. Looks just like a high quality cherry cabinet.
pic attached, but it doesn't show as much of the side as I thought. -
I agree the Cherry cabinets look really good. my whole monitor set up is in cherry.Main 2ch -

I just recently purchased the Monitor 60 towers. The cherry look is very nice and clean and the speaker itself is quite sturdy.
