Hi
I am considering some RTA 15's, not sure if there are more letters to add after the 15 (yet, will get more info soon I hope) but, just need to know what they would go for, are they of the same (or 'better') era, caliber, sound characteristics, etc, as my 'RTA' 11's, otherwise known as Monitor 11's...the one's with a definite LEFT and RIGHT speaker. I do like my 11's, but these 15's are in the possession of a friend's friend. I think adding 15's to my collection would assist the 10a's out the door also, as would be my plan.

Also, could the RTA 15's be compared to Acoustic Research AR9's in any way ?
I am thinking that they are both great in their own ways.

I had RTA15TL's and they are very very nice. Easy to drive.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I'd take the Acoustic Research AR9's over the RTA 15TL's.

Really? I thought the 15TLs were a NICE speaker, from what I've read at least. I am in no way questioning your infinite knowledge:o Why would you like the AR better? I'm just learning here:)

There was really only one version of the RTA15 and it is the RTA15TL. There may be some early release 15's that are labeled RTA15T as this was what they were originally designated. Since the RTA11T was upgraded with the same SL3000 Tri-Laminate tweeter that is used in all RTA15T or 15TL and renamed the RTA11TL, the marketing department felt that the RTA15T should also have the TL designation.
