difference/ preference TSI200 or monitor 40?

Looking to buy the tsi200 or the monitor 40.
they seem to be the same speaker with a different price?
what does everyone think?

    TSi200. They are not the same but will share similarities in aesthetics since it's a design that works very well. The TSi series is a more well balanced loudspeaker and I never liked the Monitor series.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    While I agree with Mark that they are very similar, I would have to say that I am very impressed by the Monitor series. Granted I have never heard the TSi's so my opinion is rather one sided. While the Monitor series is much cheaper than the TSi series, I would agree that the piano finish on the top of the TSi's is very easy on the eyes. The differences between the two is still up for debate, but IMHO you can't go wrong with either series. Guess it all comes down to what you are pairing them with and your budget.
