the best advice i can give you is
    SONY SUCKS
i understand the budget thing comes into play...but sony is awful
    there amps are WAY OVERRATED
u can buy a sony amp that says 1200watts on the amp...but its rated power at 2 ohms is like 400 watts
and even then it probably doesnt even put out that
sony is great for some stuff!
    just not car audio...

Hey... I'll tell u what... I've got a three amps sitting here right now that are in very very good condition -- two are like new -- one is like new except it was painted white.

200 x 1 at 4 ohms (perfect for a GNX 104)... low pass built in xover w/ 18 db / octave slope. high level and low level inputs. thermal protect and anti ground loop circuitry. mosfet power supply, BJT output stage. Optimus 200xl.

I had kind of wanted to keep this amp as a "spare" but I could use the cash - i need an alternator bad... asking 100 bucks shipped for the amp.

TWO JBL GTS 180x1's -- 180 x 1 at 4 ohms bridged, built in high and low pass xovers, mosfet PS / BJT output stage. bass boost.
asking 85 shipped for each amp.

or look for an mtx blue thunder pro 50x2 --- does 200 x 1 bridged at 4 ohms... i just bought one to run my rears -- cost me 53 dollars shipped. but it needed a repaint and some TLC.
