Ok....right....sure....they can close all the file sharing programs they want (won't stop a thing). Closed napster, 10 more poped up! The reason CD sales are down is because music right now..........SUCKS!!!!!!!!!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

It sucks and it's disposable. Pop CDs are not a good investment because they will be "****" in like, what, 3 months. A few months ago I heard someone on MTV call a song from 2001 "classic" -
Hip Hop, Rap, Pop - are all sorry excuses for music. Musicians in a box, singers with no talent! Rock, *ugh* country, jazz, etc........are all people with SOME talent atleast! Music just sucks, some dude talkin bout his bling bling!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I have to agree with Mx.... music just isn't that good now. I did just buy a CD on Saturday, but it was Pink Floyd "The Wall". Not exactly contemporary music :-).

Before generalizing all artists in these genres, please do research.
Public Enemy, Common, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr. Dre, the list goes on. These people have amazing amounts of talent.LSi 9/C/FX

I agree, there is a lot better than what's on MTV.
Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad. The words make you say "WTF?" but the
beats, esp at the end are a shitload more creative than anything on "99.3 THE EDGE! All the hits all the time!"
I think the "creative" process of artist today goes something like
1) Go into the studio
2) Play with the drum machine until it sounds right
3) Play the beat over and over again for 4 minutes
4) Make a list of nouns - "Bling Bling" "Ice" "Twenny fo's" "****"
5) Make a list of verbs - "****" "kill" "pimp" "get high" "bounce" "suck"
6) Put them together, adding fillers like "the" when needed
Put it all together and you got yourself a stupid **** pop song! -

Steve, I don't like hip hop, pop, rap, or any of that. To me, it's no talent acts that stand on stage talking crap out their mouth. Your talent may be my sorry excuse of talking.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

also after napster died there was th4 next gen file sharing that not olny can you you share mp3 you can also share entire albums and anything else. also most of my cole3cton you can get from 8-12 bucks a piece and i payed 12-25 for them. aalso most of record sales goes to the record company and not the artest. also most music sucks that is curneing out now.

amazing how the music industry complains when people download MOVIES, SOFTWARE everyday, no complaints that I hear about.........- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Generalization: 1. the act or process of generalizing. 2. a general idea, statement, etc. resulting from this; inference applied generally.

I don't think today's music sucks. What, do you want to go back the days of the hair bands, Michael Jackson, and Milli Vanilli??? Maybe a little Conway Twitty?
I will say that downloaded music does suck however. I just don't see how people can stand to listen to recordings of such horrible sound quality. Some of the cd quality recordings are bad enough, but then you rip and it's even worse. And if the sound wasn't bad enough, the so-called movies...yikes! -
Actualy they should just outlaw music from 1979 on up. Every musician now will be killed on the spot or start working for fast food chains.
Hey - I am going to OZFEST in two months and will enjoy SOME of the best music ever made - period. I just had a thought - most of that music was made in last decade - shoot me! just freaking shoot me! What a world - what a world. There going to take me away - he he ha ha.  -

Actually, the MPAA is having a crap fit as well. With the DVD burners coming to the consumer market cheap now.
Software piracy is HUGE, and they **** about it as well. That's why copy protected CDs are in play, and unique serial numbers for games.LSi 9/C/FX

Thoughs copy protected cds are horse crap! They even had an article on msn about it, you take a black felt tip marker around the edge of the cd where the code is and the computer skips right over it! Sony try again!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
