If this happened yesterday I guess I'm lucky my wife and I got our new phones last week. It does stink that I had to pay for a phone (Samsung Intensity) when I could have gotten the Droid Eris for free since my wife got a Droid. I have no need for that type of phone at an added cost of $30 per month though.

I dropped Verizon like a bad habit years ago. I am quite happy wth AT&T

agreed. I had Alltel who is now going to be Verizon but where I'm at don't know when they will switch so still was Alltel, but after the annoying mess they put them through and the way I got treated at the Verizon store, I won't go back.

I love my Iphone and don't mind AT&T

Ugh. We went looking at cell phones today..

Web browsing would be cool on occasion, but absolutely not necessary. We text a little bit more, but still not all that often. However, would be nice to not worry about any potential overages there.

Can you even get simple service with text messaging these days?? Like, a shared 1500 minute plan with unlimited texting and no other data?

No WAY am I paying $150+ for the two of us to have stupid phones.

I've got 5 lines on t-mobile with a paltry 700 minutes and unlimited text (really, I just pick up the landline if I want to talk to someone). All my kids don't even talk to people, they just text. My bill is $105/month.

Just picked up a HTC Droid Eris - Verizon doing quite well (mostly full bars). I've been trying out various Android apps for the last several days, it's surprisingly not bad compared the the iPhone App Store.

    Verizon Wireless...what a great company.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I love Verizon...they are my companies biggest customer. They keep food on my table.
