Help with Sub Setting

Hi... Can't seem to figure out the proper setting of my PSW150. I have my RT800i's fronts set at large and Sub set at Plus. Crossover on my Pioneer receiver set at 100hz. Rear and center speakers set to small. Where should I have the dial on the back of the Sub set? Should it be at 120HZ or should it be at 50HZ? Don't know why... but I have become confused.

I would set it at 120hz. Your AVR will only send 100hz and lower to the sub anyway.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

If you AVR does not auto speaker calibrate, buy or borrow a Radio shack SPL meter and match the sub output with the mains.

Thanks for the welcome. I have owned Polks since 2000 and just recently added 2 speakers. I am in need for clarification on he Sub setting. If I set the dial on the back of the sub at 120hz, does that mean that the sub will accept and play all signals BELOW 120hz? -
Yes, that dial is setting a low-pass filter.
So when the dial is set to 120 Hz, only the sounds that are at or below 120 Hz will be allowed through the filter, so only the sounds that are at or below 120 Hz play through the subwoofer.
In contrast, the AVR crossover is a high-pass filter. So when the crossover is set to 120 Hz (or 100 Hz, or 80 Hz), only the sounds that are at or higher than the crossover setting will be sent to the speakers (for any speakers that are set to Small). -
well it is acording to what you have your reciever set at .If your Pioneer is set at 100Hz then if you have the dial at 120hz it will still just output sound of a 100hz and below because of the reciever crossover.ONKYO TX-SR607
