SDA 2 and Snibby - Do they belong together?

Our friend Oktyabr received a new set of SDA2. I believe that this is his first SDA and Polk experience. Oktyabr has been kind enough to show us visuals of the setup of his speakers. I have enclosed an attachment that he has provided in another thread.

Notice the "ornament" sitting on top of his speaker. Should this "ornament" and a Polk Audio Speaker belong in the same room together? :D:D:D

Share your thoughts.

As Oktyabr would say -

"Snibby Tested, Snibby Approved".

I think Oktyabr is winning friends over quickly with that slogan. Of course being part of the SDA goes a long way too.

    LOL!

Ok PolkMaster1, you forgot the subtitle!

Below that picture should say "Snibby tested, Snibby approved!"

That photo was taken after he perched himself there in the middle of Eric Clapton's "Motherless Child" played about as loud as third row seating might find it at one of Eric's live concerts. He doesn't do that with every speaker I toss into the mix! He likes... errr... "appreciates" the magical effects of SDA ;)

And for the record, first SDA experience, have had smaller Polks like the Monitor 70 and the S8 but the SDA is an entirely different animal!

Snibby better not be snuggling with the SDAs like that or we may have to revoke your SDA privlidges!!!

My first experience with Polk was the SDA 2's. It was the best speaker I ever heard. No other speaker other than Polk would ever do after that!

If Snibby is anything like Max, he should sit right on your lap (to be in the sweet spot of course) and soak up the SDA magic with you.

Wow, your cat must be a Cowboy fan because that is how Cowboy fans look after the 34-3 loss they took to the Vikings.

    See signature. ;)

Its a blank signature, which could only mean that you have such great fantastic audio gear that you cannot divulge that information here... and that despite all the audio hardware you have, you are not a speaker owner...

    Now I see. :D:D:D

(Does this mean that he is using Martin Logan ElectroStatics? Hmmmm...)

    Hahah, no. I'm not rich.

My first post in this thread had a signature attached. ;)

Paradigm Esprits. Pretty low-end fare compared to SDAs. Which is why kitty is hiding his ears.

Yikes... Sorry about that Concealer. I totally missed that. Paradigms is another speaker I would like to give a listen to, not that I would plan on replacing my Polks anytime soon. How did you drop into this forum? Did you once own Polk Speakers or did you audition Polks and were impressed with them to join this forum?

I dont think we get many in here (despite being a newbie) who subscribe to the forum yet dont own Polk equipment. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong on that assumption, but then again, it would be like if I subscribed to a Bose forum, yet I have no interest in their speakers. I just cant imagine doing that myself.

Out of curiosity, have you ever auditioned Axiom speakers? If so, how are they? They are a web-only company who has gained interest in my curiosity.

I'm here because i like Polks, and i joined here because i had Polks at the time. (VS-25s, a somewhat rare bird.) Since then, i've had:

    VS-25s
    Monitor 5JR+
    Monitor 7C
    RTA11T
    R50s

But, my first REAL speakers were Paradigm Titans, and i still have them. And for whatever reason, the Paradigm "sound" seems to work really well with the gear that i have, so i ended up with the Esprits. Also amusingly, though, they even generate the sheer power that the 11Ts were able two, even though they're just a small 2-way tower. :p

I stick around here because i like Polks, still looking for a couple pairs, and because this place is the best audio forum that i've found for my tastes on the net. I can ask about anything here, Polk or not, and get input. There's a lot of people here that don't run Polks anymore, at least in their main rigs. I'm just the odd one out that moved away not because i went higher than the highest end Polks.

I haven't heard Axiom speakers, so i'm afraid i'm not much help there. :(

(Oh look! My sig is back!)

Hi Concealer. Nice to meet you. Did you ever have the desire to listen or purchase an SDA Speaker? If so, what held you back?

I think your signature is playing the disappearing act. It didnt show up when you posted earlier today.
