In a non double blind test, Zing Zang reigns supreme. If you like bloody marys and have never tried this mix, I highly recommend it. Much better than the others. We still augment it up with a little more hot sauce and a bit of pickle juice...just what the doctor ordered.

Hey, I was living about a minute walk from the Cheesecake factory for a while, so it was nice to be able to go in and grab one, or two, and walk on home. I first had one in Chicago about 5 years ago. Only reason I bought it was because I was sitting at the bar and a guy was helping the bar tender by making up a new batch of bloody mary mix. It was all made from scratch and the first thing he did when he was done was to make himself one, so I said "what the hell, I'll give it a go." It was wonderful!

I'm still not so sure about that Mojito though:P

I'm sick of having a hard time tracking down nice mint leaves in this god-forsaken state.

I've made a decent one in the past, just used my own muddler and did fresh mint leaves I picked up at the store with a nice white rum. I'll have to track it down sometime and send it to you...

and with regards to the OP. I used to sell that stuff all the time. Its not bad for just a massed produced one. I prefer one that I can buy at a local bar by me. SOOOOOO good, but sets you back about 30 bucks for a mix that will make about 4-8 marry's depending on how big you make them. Best I've had yet.

^I meant a pre-mix. :p I can make a bomb-**** mojito, but finding fresh mint leaves that aren't disgusting around here in winter is a hassle.

Ever had a real mojito Rodney? I'll make you one when you come back to visit. Which, you'll have to once i get this DAC situation straightened out. :D

I probably never had a real Mojito, but I won't say I will try it when I visit ya again because then it would be forever preserved on the internet that I've actually drank a mojito:P When I get to your place I'm gonna have to check for camera's though to make sure you can't prove anything! Good luck getting everything worked out with the DAC and I might be headed your way March sometime.

Just so I'm not sidetracking this thread too much though...make sure you put celery salt on the rim because it definitely adds to the flavor.

Meh, whatever. :D I drink Long Island Ice Teas, too. :p

Seconded on the celery salt on the bloody mary. I tend to really like spicy bloody marys in general, too, though. So lots of tabasco!

Worcestershire sauce is good, just a few drops, adds a little meaty flavor. Never cared much for horseradish in my bloody marys, makes it taste too much like cocktail sauce.
