Newbie needs help with new HT system
I am looking to purchase a new home theater 9.1 channel surround system. I was looking to purchase the RTI A9's, but I found today they are still selling the Rti 12's for a really good price compared to the A9's. I have a rather big room (about 24x25) to fill with sound.
So to complement the Rti 12's with regard to timbre matching, would it be ok to purchase some of the older "Monitor" series speakers for the center, surrounds and rear, or do you need to stick with the Rti series? I was also look at the FXi A4 and A6 speakers, but wasn't sure it that would match well either.
Going to purchase the Onkyo NR1007 to compliment this setup.
Thank you.:)

To timbre match you need to stay within the Rti/Fxi lineup. You will want to consider separate amplification because those speakers will need it.
