Well I thought I would share a little story about my last few days.

First off those 5 hour energy things work like a charm. Not that I even used them until yesterday.

Anyway Friday night I went out with a friend line dancing. We left around 7PM and got back at 3:20 AM. That is usually around when we get back so no biggie. But That morning I was leaving with my father at 5:30 AM to head to Washington for a motorcycle show. So I got home went to bed for about 2 hours than got up. I was a bit tired but not to bad. Had breakfast and on the way there has a 20 min nap.

Got to the hotel and headed over to the show. I was a bit sleepy at 9:30 when the show opened. I than drank one of those 5 hour energy things and within about 5 minutes felt awake without being jittery. Went threw the whole show just fine including good lunch and all. Than around 1 or 2 started to lag a bit. Not sure if your suppose to but had another one of those things. Was fine and than finished up our day and headed to the hotel for some food and to watch the game. I started to get drained around 830-9 and luckily we headed to bed. Here is were it gets interesting.

I do not know what it is about people and not being respectful but there were people outside in the hall talking loudly and laughing for easily over an hour. We called front desk and asked them to take care of it after I asked them to shut up. It did stop and we went on to sleep. Around 11 it started again this time is was a few people not a group out in the hall just drinking. So with my dad and I both awake again we headed down to the lobby to what I though was to change hotel rooms. My father checked out and we headed home. 2 hour drive and both of us at were pretty tired I was a zombie the entire way just about. Got home at 2AM and went to bed. But just got up about 3 hours ago and feel great and now watching the other game. So two things one those 5 hour things work great with no effects that I know of. And even if it is a nice hotel there can still be crap that goes on.

Stink bomb. That'll clear a hallway in about 30 seconds.

I would've raised hell if the hotel refused to take care of it. I'm not a confrontational person, but you had best not take away from my sleep!

We had the same issue. Last Feb 14, my wife and I drove to Montreal for some shopping and diner and spent the night. Did our stuff, had dinner, the hotel was able to set up a reservation for us even though most restaurants were booked. After diner we went back and decided to call it a night. About 10-11 we heard girls yelling in the hall way. This is not a cheap hotel either one of those new Boutique ones. So we thought ok once not bad. (mind you we had also asked for the quietest floor and room). The noise continued throughout the night being valentine's night peeps where all over the place making noise. At 1am I could not sleep anymore neither could my wife. We packed up check out and asked for the managers name and phone#. Asked Valet to get our truck and drove home, like you it was about a 2hr drive. The next day we called and spoke to the manager and not only did he comp our room, he sent us a GC for a nights stay in their best room which includes a bottle of Grey goose and a free dinner.

Now that is amazing... we have yet to use our GC.

Ya we did not pay for our room or our parking. It just bugged the crap out of us. I normally do not even yell out to people but with the low sleep I had had. I was living.
