Help me understand. How is a rotel rb-1092 500wpc smaller and more powerful than my rb-1080. Also what is a class D amp? What class is my rb-1080 ?Thanks

It's a digital amp i believe... light, cool, and insanely powerful. I want to say it's the same technology that Pioneer uses, the ICE amps.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

can't find the class designation but there are a ton of links from google, the 1080 is solid state and i would think it's the class d that makes the 1092 smaller and more powerfull
