Anyone using R/T/M series as surrounds? I have only a small shelf for my surround speakers and these are pretty tiny with decent specs. I would looking to mate them with Monitor 40s and CS2 at the front. I suspect they would sound better than the RM7s. Would probably go with the M10s because they are on the Polk Ebay site all the time.

There are some people here with that config..as long as you go with the same series up front as you suggest (M40s/CS2) you should be OK!

I'm also using M10 speakers as surrounds (5.0 channel setup). Their use as surrounds is perfect since they are neither too muffled nor too harsh when set up properly (using a receiver's setup).

Also, the Monitor 40's actually sound really good even when set to Large, despite the recommendation that they be set to Small. To prevent distortion, I've just disabled the low frequency effects in the receiver settings, but even with LFE disabled that still doesn't prevent the output of good enough low bass (it just doesn't shake walls).

Thanks. I have a sub so I'll be able to set them to small.
