I bought a Harman Kardon Avr 7000 at a local Thrift store. Everything works except there is no sound on the subwoofer even if i run the test tone no sound coming from my sub. The front , center and surround speaker are all fine and set to small. I tried changing the cable still no sound but i can feel some vibration on the driver but no sound. Everybody can pitch in before i return this and also idont have remote and manual. HELP.

Don't really know H/K menus that well..but if you can't get it to work and your sub has HIGH LEVEL Inputs for speaker wire and outputs as well. Just wire the old way...L/R to the sub first and then from the sub OUTS to the speakers...adjust the crossover from the sub.

$200 is a bit steep IMHO; You're getting into the range that allows for HDMI. I've seen Onkyos that are a few generations old sell for close to that.

7000 series is a beast....I thought those things were going for $1500 or more new? My neighbor had/has one....I remember the set up procedures were lengthy.
