MC65 or RCi65 for Inwall Mains?
Hi,
I mulling over my speakers and am looking for a pair of in-wall fronts.
Does anyone know the sound difference between MC65 and RCi65? I'll be using them mostly for TV/Movies.
I see that the MC series doesn't have any reviews that I can find on the internet so I'm a little leary. They are also look "less engineered"... ie nothing special, just a black face and 2 black cones where the RCi65 looks to have more to it. First visual impressions are they look "cheaper" but looks can be deceiving. I'm not an audiofile but I like good movie/tv sound and my current mis-mached set isn't that great.
My wall situation is a little unique.... it's my basement with a double wall.... ie
Drywall => Studs => 2" gap to concrete, so the studs don't make a sealed space for a chamber.
I was told by one Polk Tech support person that either would work but when I look at the specs, Only the MC series mentions "infinate baffle" and looks enclosed on the back side.
Also, what Center and Surrounds match both of these sets?
I just got an Onkyo TXSR707... I mean JUST got.... delivery guy just left.
Oh yah, I do have a powered sub so I don't think the 8.5" would be required.
Thanks for the help
