I am looking to complete my speaker set.

I currently have
Receiver: Onyko HT-RC180
Fronts: Monitor 60
Center: CS1
Sub: PSW110

I am looking for rears possibly ones that can be wall mountable.

I was considering the
Monitor 30
Monitor 40
TSi100
TSi200
A1
A3

I do have a large living room, but at this point I am thinking about only doing a 5.1 setup, but if I would like to have the option to upgrade to a 7.1 in the future.

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in Advance,

The M30's wall-mount easily, as well. They come with the bracket and offsets pre-mounted. You just need a single screw into an anchor or stud.

And, they sound shockingly good for a speaker of that size and price. (I paid $89/pair.)

I agree that you should stay within the family for the surrounds, although it is not as important as timbre matching your front three. The 30's are very easily wall mounted via the key hole slot. The 40's not so easy, but with a little effort it can be done. If not, are stands an option for you, IMHO the 40's are a way better speaker than the 30's, not that the 30's are bad. Also, one more idea, was your choice of the CS1 over the CS2 due to the CS2's "girth" If not, I would suggest upgrading your center to a CS2 at some point in time, you don't know what you are missing. Running the 60's as your fronts, the CS1 may have a hard time keeping up and you may find yourself with remote in hand, constantly playing the up, down game with the volume. I have heard from more than one person that the CS1 is an ok match with the 60's with a little tweaking. Hope this helps, and welcome to Club Polk.

Yeah I will admit that I actually bought the CS1 and the Monitor 60 because the reviews were good and they were onsale on Newegg. I really didn't do too much research at the time.

I will probably go with the Monitor 40 on stands.

Now about the speaker wire, I would like to avoid buying the "named" brand wire as i feel that it is just more expensive.

Can someone suggest some decent speaker wire, I would assume 12 AWG is what i want.
Do i need Oxygen-Free Copper Speaker Wire? Is CL2 ok for in wall installation?

Is anything at Monoprice any good?

    Thanks,
    Tom
