PSW505 and yamaha 663 setup ?

I got my whole system damn near tweaked just perfect (for my level of expertise). My current setup is with fq response and what setting I have them set on.
RX- Yamaha rx-v663
Center CS2 55Hz - 25kHz small
fronts: Monitor 70's 30Hz - 25kHz large
Rears: Mointor 40's 47Hz - 25kHz small
Surrounds: Monitor 30's 55Hz - 25kHz small
Sub psw 505 23Hz - 160Hz lfe
What I'm not all to sure on is what I should set my Rx cross over setting to, the sub is using the LFE in and the RX has choices from 40,60,80,90,100,110,120,160,and 200hz. I have it set for 120hz right now, and also have the LFE/bassout setting to both fronts and swfr but really don't want to damage anything, and I want it to sound great any inputs on this would be SWEET!
Thanks again

I'd try 80hz and see how you like it. The idea is to take some strain off the mains and use the sub on the lower frequencies, without huge overlap or gaps. The M70s are probably pretty strong down to 80hz or possibly even 60hz.
Might even experiment with setting the M70s as small as well, and letting the psw505 do all the dirty work. Nice setup, though!I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I owned the 663 and used the M70's for the fronts with it. Found the best for me was setting it to 80 or 90 for the setting the AVR. I would suggest starting with 80 and if you don't like it move it up to 90 or down or just play with it a bit to find what you think sounds the best.

+3 for 80hz. That is the THX recommendation (if that means anything to you, lol) and also where I have my speakers setup as well. I also agree with messing around with the settings and see where you like it best, Also if you have any kind of auto calibration on your AVR like Audyssey, run it and see where it puts you at. It is a good place to start, and should get you pretty close to where you want to be. Nice setup, I have one very similar.

It's not that I'm insensitive, I just don't care.. -
You may also want to try
keeping the L+R on large (I like this setting for music with a single sub) -
set the xo to 90 [this'll take a load off the amp in the receiver] -
set the subwoofer phase to REV (reverse) via the 663 set up [this way the bass frequencies will not cancel or boom between the sub and the main L+R channels since they will have some overlap] -
and bass out set to BOTH [tells the receiver to send bass below 90hz to sub for all chanels set to small and the front mains as well].
just an optionpop

Good advice above....no HIGHER than 80hz with that set up speakers...Remember that even at 100hz which is not that high you can have problems with localization...
I don't know if everyone remembers but when the early Dolby Digital AVRs came out...a lot of them would NOT crossover below 100hz....then gradually they started to drop their settings. The lower the better...you might even try 60 as is suggested above....all the Mseries have at least a 60hz lower limit?
Experiment with a few settings...but also play around with your bass phase switch to see what sounds best.

For what I remember if you did this the LFE would play through your mains as well as the sub. When I got my RTIA9's I did this and it was basstastic at my place and really changed the feel of the whole set up. -
I got it set to 80hz and both sounds good I want another 505!

good! they are decent little subs for the price you can find them for. enjoy!

I would advise trying crossing at 80 Hz. I have this receiver and my Polk's sounds great with my HSU VTF MK3
