Thought so. :D

Every year i attend a Car Show/Race that is put on locally in Indianapolis to benefit a local children's hospital.

There's a show, a drag race portion, and an autocross portion, and usually some other entertainment.

http://www.wingedwarrior.org/

This year's date is May 7th.

If anyone wants to compete, or even come watch, the info is on that site. It's a great time, and there's an excellent chance that this year you'll get to laugh as I either attempt to take down Vipers and twin turbo Corvettes in a Celica with over 230k miles on it, or attempt to catch traction at some point before the 1/8th mile mark in an MX6 with a hopelessly overboosted motor.

Every year is also a competition between Imports and Domestics to see who is the "king" for the year.

PM me or check out the site if you want more info.

Mods, is this is out of line, please just delete. I am not the organizer of this, just someone who attends in some form or another most years. :)

Not yet, no... Maybe this year, though. Depends how funds go. I have a full racing schedule this year. 17 autocross events alone, and i usually drag race 4-5 times a month, too. :D

There's some utterly crazy stuff that comes out to this show, by the way. Last year there was an Evo that ran a 10.0 quarter mile standing on the brakes at the end. It was a 10.0 @ 89mph or something crazy like that.

But yeah, the car "scene" is really one of the only things keeping me around here.

    No. No. And yes!

I'm all for fundraisers, and good causes. Good luck!
