New Carpet in the Man Cave

So the carpet is installed and the wife said NO MORE SPEAKER SPIKES.Ok,so I lay the towers on their backs reverse the spikes and scerw on the brass pucks to act as feet.No more spikes to stab the carpet.I go upstairs for a glass of O.J. and on my way back down discover our 20 pound cat laying across the dual 8" woofers.....YIKES!!!!!.Step#1 carefully lift the cat off the speaker.Step#2 remove the grill, check for damage,no visible damage.Step#3 hook em' up and listen, sounds ok.Looks like I got a lucky break. Not the cat's fault ,I blame myself(or maybe the wife)

Hell this is turning in to a funny thread. Mittens? 20lb cat should net you a nice pair slippers! My kids have been working me and their mother for a kitten for some time now. Every cat post just leads me further to my answer of 'NO'. Of course when the well loved older pet dog finally goes to his final rest (dog nap in the clouds) I may not be able to resist their request.Polk Audio RTA 12c's, Monitor 7c, Monitor 5JR+, SDA CRS+ -

Give em a catnip scratch post and they won't even know your speakers exist. Apparently cat heaven= drugs and a manicure at the same time...2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

No speaker spikes? It's not like your asking her to make an omelet without using a skillet. Haha. I say who cares. What's more important? SQ or a few Lil holes in carpet that you can't see? Exactly.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Cats!
I can't figure them out, but my wife and kids like them and we currently have two.
Ours are constantly attracted to the weirdest resting places and items; papers, plastic bags, cardboard boxes . . . I set an old broken laserjet printer in the den on its way to the trash. 10 minutes later, a cat is curled up on the uneven hard plastic top taking a nap.
