I was doing some SACD listening this weekend, when I noticed that one my 40s (which I use for rears) was buzzing. I'm worried that a driver or the tweeter has busted but i'm not sure why.. I play everything through the yammy and I usually stay between between -30db and -20db on the volume I pushed it to -15db while watching princess bride DVD this weekend but its Dolby Stereo so i'm pretty sure they didn't even get used or at least used minimally for that. Any idea what might be causing it or what I need to do.. I've emailed off to polk CS but haven't heard anything back yet..

Just one of the speakers? Try switching it with the other and see if it follows. If it does then it could be in the cable or at the source.

+1, also call Polk directly. E-mail takes awhile. Their CS is second to none and will get you back up and running in no time if it ends up being the speaker.

It may take some more testing but i think it might have been a connection... I switched sides and while doing so, I added some banana plugs to the ends of the wire that i've been meaning to do since Christmas.. well so far that seems to have fixed the buzzing problem.. hopefully that will fix will continue... thanks for the idea Keiko

Cool, glad to hear you are back up and running. Sometimes those wires can loosen up if you move em around, the nanners was a good idea.
