hi!

would an RM7 center speaker match with R300 fronts and R150 surround?

i know the CSR is the matching speaker but i have no where else to put the speaker except in front of the TV, and the CSR would block the lower portion of the screen. but the RM7 would fit in quite nicely

Welcome to CP Choy, the RM7 center would not be an ideal match due to it having only a 1/2 inch tweeter versus a 3/4 inch tweeter for your other speakers. Would it be possible to raise your TV up on its stand a bit so that the CSR would work? The center is the one speaker you really dont want to cut yourself short on as the CSR is an entry level center. If all else fails try the RM7 and let us know what you think.

not really, the TV is on a stand and the height is fixed. i didn't opt for a wall mount or those stands that has the mount, so the TV is sitting pretty low. and given that the CSR is 7-inches in height, it will cut into the screen by about 2-inches

if i'd stick with the CSR, my only other option is to stick the speakers into the cabinet and put it on top of my DVR. but would it be safe to do so? wouldn't it mess with the hard disk in the DVR?

yeah, i'm going with a budget setup, R300, R150, and now i just need a center speaker. i was going for the CRS because it matches but the size is my only dilema. the R7/R8 would fit in nicely

should i try anyway? i'm in Canada and my only source is Amazon (not even 100% sure the seller would ship here) so shipping it back may prove costly for me
