The matching centers are the csi5 and the csi3.

If you wanted to use the Rti-4s as surrounds you could do that...although it's best to stay in series..surrounds are not as important as matching your L/C/R speakers.

So you could buy some Monitor 50/60/or 70s get the CS1 or CS2 with those and use the Rtis as surrounds.

Otherwise you could also use the newer RTI Aseries CSi-4, or CSi-6 as your center...they match well with the previous Rti speaker models.

so if i have been watching a auctionfor the cs2 i should match them up with the monitor 50/60/70's ONLY????

are the monitor series any better than the rtia series??

    is my setup correct:
    towers: monitor 50/60/70's
    centre:CS2
    rears: RTi4

    is that a good setup?

For seamless audio effect transitions across your front "sound stage (Left, center, right channels), you want speakers that use the same components (midwoofers, tweeters, etc.) Generally, I'd say the consensus around here is that RTi's and their newer versions the RTiA's are better for home theater. That said the Monitor (or newer TSi line) are still formidable for HT.

Just curious, did you get the RTi4s are Fry's? If so, you might want to either return them and get yourself some Monitor 30s/40s (TSi100/200) and build out an entire set with Monitors/TSis, OR, let the auction go and fill out with RTi / RTiA's.

I run RTi8s, CSi5, RTi6 (surrounds) and RTi4 (rear surrounds). I think it sounds great.
