Remixes

Am I the only one who is sick of seeing an artist/s come out with a new song then within weeks have 2-5 remix versions of the damn thing? also I am seeing a lot of artists especially in the pop arena pairing up with other artists on these other versions which for some reason upsets me even further.

I know it's all about the money and the producers are thinking if we throw out a remix with another popular artist we will sell more albums because of a crossover appeal but I would rather see more new songs versus remixes of the same old tired song :p

REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I enjoy artistic remixes of some artists. Very few lend themselves to anything but bing-bong club mixes though. I happen to love some NIN remixes. Beastie Boys too. It really depends on if the remix introduces any new elements or style.

I like covers. I don't like most remixes, especially of the hip hop variety.

The cover of Eleanor Rigby by Thrice is very amusing to me.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I just want to be the person that gets paid to keep saying REMIX before the song stats.

Here you go! No, seriously. These are worth a look, even if they do nothing but make you shake your head. (Yes, i'm aware that they're covers and not remixes. It's cool.)

    Thrice - Eleanor Rigby

Maroon 5 - Closer (No, i'm not kidding.)

    Switchfoot - Only Hope

The Fray - Heartless (Kanye West, the ANTIREMIX!!!)

    Switchfoot - Crazy In Love

The Automatic - Love in This Club

Forever The Sickest Kids - Love Story (Taylor Swift)
