Natalie Portman has said she won't do any more nude scenes - http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=450556&GT1=28101

While I would like to say, good for her to stand up to future pressures from directors to have her nude (what director wouldn't...), I'm sure there will be a few Polkies who are deeply saddened to hear this news.
Ludicrous gibs!

She's more "pretty" than "hot." Seeing her naked not the best idea.

Agreed that she's a great actress though.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Not that she's a bad looking lady, but she doesn't really do anything for me. Good on her and her decision not to strip before the camera again though. I think she's a decent actress.

She looks like a little boy that was attacked in the chest by 2 giant angry amazon mosquitoes. Does nothing for me on the superficial front either.

I haven't seen a performance that I thought was spectacular aside from L

Oh, come on....you know all you Star Wars dorks out there (such as myself) would want to see her naked with a young Carrie Fisher dressed in the slinky outfit from Return of the Jedi....then Chewbacca walks in on them and....ohhhhh, ohhhhh......

When did she ever get nude?

I love Natalie Portman. She totally appeals to me both as an actress and a woman. I may not actually like her in real life as I have never met her, but she seems very personable.

I couldn't care less whether or not she ever does a nude scene, that is up to her. I can't recall ever seeing her nude though.

References if she has please. :D

The actress partially stripped for a sex scene in 2007 movie "Hotel Chevalier," and that was enough to send lusty Internet peeping Toms into overdrive, posting stills of the saucy scene all over the web.

She showed some skin in the 2004 movie, Closer also.

I'm almost positive Hotel Chevalier isn't an actual feature length movie. I know I have seen it and Jason Schwartzman was in it as well. For some reason I thought it had something to do with Wes Anderson's Darjeeling Limited. I have the DVD of that movie at home, so I'll have to see if it's in there as a short or something.

Ahhh... I recall now. I love Wes Anderson's films.

Hotel Chevalier is a short. I believe it is on the DVD though I don't own it to verify.

Correct, it was a short that is before Darjeeling.

I can't stand Wes Anderson (and even among fans that movie was pretty poorly received) but I remember when that movie came out.

No loss here, but if Eva Mendes said it, I'll be very sad.

I saw it in theater and it was... well, meh. I do enjoy his style though and of all of Wes Anderson's films, it is my least favorite. His style is an acquired taste an I can certainly understand how someone would dislike his movies. Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums are definitely my favorites.

Agreed... Rushmore is in my top five all-time. And for anyone who hates Life Aquatic, I recommend giving a second or third spin. I can't believe how much more I enjoy it upon further viewings.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

You said that right. I've seen that film about 10 times now, and everytime it gets better.

I'd have to call The Royal Tenenbuams his best work though. It's simply fantastic...

Never saw Hotel Chevalier, Demi, so I don't know. I posted in reference to the OP's link to answer Ron's question.

I googled for the clip from Hotel Chevalier. Basically, she dropped her pants, and it was an **** shot. Like the article says, partial nudity.

I just thought the original post was pertinant, considering how much Micah used to drool over Ms. Portman.

She is a good actress. When the right part comes along, she will, if she wants the job. Plus, as she gets older, she will realize her best days are fading, and she had better save something for posterity.

She is one of my favorite actresses. I've followed her career for a long time. I think she has a great combination of being attractive, extremely smart, well spoken and pretty grounded for someone we call a "celebrity".

Missed Hotel Chevalier and it doesn't seem to be on Netflix.

That's right...but isn't there, wasn't there, also the somewhat typical undegrad declaration that she was **** (not that this matters to me or anyone else...but NEWS media thrives on this sort of thing. Plus as an academic I've seen countless coeds go through this 'phase' and get married a few years later...although some remain true to their college choice.)
