Anyone have a Mirage Omni S10 sub laying around that they would like to sell or upgrade from. I have one and a PSW505 and I would like to buy another Mirage because it responses better for music and sell my Polk.Prefer Platinum but black would do also. The Polk is great for HT but I would like to match my mirage with another one:D

Good choice. The S10 is a major step up from the 505 anyways.

The platinum is like the charcoal finish . I wish I would have bought two of these Mirage subs when Vann's had them half price a couple of years ago. Now just finding new ones at retail price.:( And as much as I like my Polk Rti's the sub(PSW505) is lacking a little compared to the Mirage. Plus I realize that using two subs that are not the same is not a good idea. For my budget hopefully I can find another Omni S10 out there among Polkies.HT System

I just sold an S8 for $200 or around there? I don't have any subs right now. I was just pointing out that you may get some better performance with one S10 Prestige (especially for music) rather than two vanilla S10s. Didn't get the Prestige? Why not? That thing is a HUGE step up from the normal S10, and that's a GREAT price.
If i had the cash right now i'd grab it personally. That's the sub that i'll be going with when i get back into that world.

I think Energy makes some equivalents to these subs, let me dig around and see if i can pull up the exact models again. Someone on here has experience with them, but i forget who. Moving subs from corners and closer towards my RTi12's. Seeing how that sounds.These subs are alot more musical than the Polk's and now I have matching subs:D And I did find Energy subs that look amost identical. Thanks for your input!HT System

Oh man, i bet that sounds phenomenal.
How are they doing for movies? I used to run stereo S8s for HT, and it was amazing how much impact those little subs were able to generate.
But for music, for a budget sub like that, they're REALLY hard to beat. Super fast, musical, and really really tight.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Well. I listened to music most of the day yesterday with my two mirages hooked up. So it did sound great. Instead of the the big boominess of the Polk. now I seem to hear bass the way it is suppose to sound. I put in "Welcome to the machine" by Floyd. The machine sound on track 2 (welcome to the machine) is always getting things rumbling . Wow,these Mirages are nice and tight. Now I see someone selling a S12 on Ebay. Wow! Funny thing is that Mirage does not even list the S12 on their web site anymore. HT System

The S12 was a very limited run. There aren't many of them around, period. They're a monster for the price you can get them for, though. I don't know that they'd have the same music performance, though. I think the S10 or in your case, two of them
would be a better "compromise" between music and HT.
I'm going to go check out that S12, though... i don't really NEED a sub for music anymore, but i would like one for HT, and i've always been curious about this sub.
Ehhhh.... bit out of my price range. But man, that thing is ridiculous. 19hz +/- 3db. 1.61" driver excursion. I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Have not tried movies yet. I listen to music 75% of the time so it will be interesting how they sound for movies. I wnted to say that the biggest thing I learned is that as much as I like having two subs I should have never had been using two differant subs. Always felt they were slightly out of phase

That "what if?" is actually keeping me from doing any major upgrades lately... Don't want to screw up my synergy.
