VM 10 or RM 85 5.1 system?

How much of an improvement does the VM10 have over RM85 in a 5.1 setup for movies? How much of an improvement would it have over it in music.
I can read tech. specs. all day, but has anyone experienced both of these systems in action assuming they are using the same sub?
I may be in the market for another set (need small speakers - wife factor) so what are the recommendations and options?

I prefer the RM85.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
