Playback
Region A (locked)
The BR disc I am looking at has the info above. I thought regions were by number and can't find anything on lettered regions.
Any help will help. Thanks. Does locked mean that a Region Free player will still not play the disc?

Blu's are region coded by letter (A,B,). A is North/South America.

Also, Blu-ray regions (lettered) are not the same as the old DVD regions. It's actually good news for those of us who occasionally import a blu-ray from Asia as Hong Kong, Japan, and some others are now the same as the Americas.
