The ones I have seen in the past couple of years have gone for in-between 1K to 1,400. I think the most I have ever seen up for sale in one year were 4, so be prepared with $$$ in hand so you can pounce on it when the time comes.

Two were on ebay this year that I can think of. Both were in the $1,500 range.

What do you plan to use them with?

SOmeone here has a really nice TFM-45 serviced in July 09 for sale:o

Seriously a 75 is nice. If you can find one I suggest a full service if it has not already been done recently.

Replace my TFM 25 for my 2 channel setup. TFM25 will remain on HT. Will be powering my Polk Monitor 12s with new amp.

IMO, if you are powering the 12s, a TFM 35 or 45 would be more than enough.
My TFM-55 will make my 2.3tls sing. You ought to take a serious look at the TFM-45 that thsmith has for sale. Buy a used, un-updated one off ebay and you may find you have to spend an additional 400 to get it fixed. His in pristine condition.

I was thinking the same thing [thsmith's 45]. The 75 would be complete overkill for its intended use.

It has cooling fans so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.

IIRC the Mon 12 is rated at 250 watts max. The 75 is an overkill in watts and dollars. If you could even find one for sale.

Take a look at thsmith's TFM45. If I had the money I would buy it.( I have a TFM35x) His 45 has been serviced/upgraded and cosmetically looks very nice. You would be getting 375 watts/ch 8ohm, 500w/ch 4ohm. A nice upgrade from your 25.I bet your 12's would sound great with that amp!:D

They are rated at 400 per channel. I barely get them going with the 25.

Good luck finding a TFM-75. They are legendary. 750 wpc, dual mono design (two power cords) that require 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits for full power~

I thought it was 500W RMS? I could be wrong, not a genius when it comes to vintage Polks.

Edit: Disregard above info, just checked Polks website they are rated 20-400W. Carry on.

The 45 would properly power them with plenty of headroom to spare.

agree, I had monitor 12s with a TFM-25 and I could push them all I wanted. A 45 would be coasting.

Or the Sunfire sig 600 X2 would also fit the bill. With the sig, you can run the voltage out to the woofer and current to the tops.
